EVENT: Saturday January 21, 2012 Pet Supplies Plus Noon-4pm,

Food drive and Meet and Greet with some of our animals up for adoption.

Leadership Wilkes-Barre team to hold a supply donation drive for Blue Chip Farms Animal Refuge.

The group has partnered with Pets Supplies Plus to hold the drive at the company's store at 555 Scott St., Wilkes-Barre, from noon to 4 pm, on Saturday, January 21, 2012 and January 28, 2012.

The group will collect items necessary for the care of the animals housed at the no-kill shelter.

These items include:
Cat litter, canned cat and dog food, trash bags, holistic cleaners, paper towels, vinegar, latex gloves, Precise holistic dry dog food, mops, pails, puppy pads, dish detergent, sponges, pre-paid fuel cards, baking soda, Greenie cat treats, dog leashes, dry kitten chow, Revolution flea control, 6" paper plates, Soft Scrub with bleach, small dustpans, brooms, throw rugs, hand sanitizer, Neosporin, and laundry cleaning solution.

There will be a training session held for all volunteers at Blue Chip Animal Refuge February 12th at noon in the new kennel building. This orientation/training will be required of everyone -- new and current volunteers regardless -- so that we are all on the same page with regards to the care of the animals here at Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge.

We will try and schedule future training on a monthly basis -- or more often as the need arises -- to acquaint everyone with our rules and procedures.

If your schedule is such that you can make it to tomorrow's session -- please respond to this e-mail ASAP.

Otherwise, we will let you know -- with more notice hopefully -- when the next one will be held.
