Cali and Andy are the inseparable brother, sister duo who pretty much do everything together. The sleep, snuggle, eat, and will even greet people together. They are both a little shy at first, but once you get to know them, they are sweet, friendly, playful, and cautiously affectionate. These two are the main members of the Kitty-Cottage-Front-Room-Posse with their BFF, Patches. They would make nice companions to a mellow human in a quiet home. They need to go together

"Marley" , DSH, Spayed Female, was born 2/2/06. She is solid Grey with beautiful grey/green eyes and is as pretty as can be.  Marley had to leave her home because her owner developed severe allergies to cats.  She is sweet and very friendly and gets along well with others. He is approx 4 years old, neutered, Jack Russell/mix, he is a medium size dog, utd on shots, he is a wonderful dog but full of energy, he has had limited exposure with other dogs but seems fine when he is around them, he does not like cats (we are posting for the current owner right now - since we dont have any room at the shelter yet. "Angel" is a very shy, sweet cat who has pretty white fur with black spots. She is a little leery of people until you open a can of wet food. She then becomes very vocal with a sweet, pathetic meow. Angel tends to keep to herself and likes to sleep and relax, but she also seems to get along very well with the other cats in the cottage. She would probably do well in a home that allows her to be independent and one which has plenty of wet food in stock.

Annie, 10 year old, spay border collie, she is utd on shots, house trained, very sweet girl just looking to be loved and has alot of love to give, she needs to lose a few pounds. Good on a leash, She does have alittle arthritis but a loving girl who loves to give kisses.

Mommy rabbit was rescued from the flood and she had 4 baby white rabbits at the shelter, not sure of the sex yet, but they are growing fast.  Mom and babies are available for adoption (mom looks just the babies but she is just bigger) the babies are three girls (spayed) and one boy (neutered)

Bandit, 9 year old AKC Akita, extra large.  He is housebroken, utd on shots and good with other dogs. Unfortunately, his owner has moved and cannot have a dog. Bandit was raised with older children so he should either go to a home with no kids or older kids (updated 11/18/11) has also gotten a better picture of his face - he is not at the shelter he is being taken care of by a caretaker - if interested please ask for Theresa when calling the shelter to make arrangements to meet with him

"Beeps" (also called BP) is a very pretty cat who is mischievous, smart, and independent. She loves water and likes to play in the sink even under running water - she can play with water for hours. She is an ambitious cat who knows what she wants (water) and is grumpy if she doesn't get it. She likes her own space and would be most happy in a single-cat home. Since she likes to play with hands and will administer surprise love bites, she would be best with a very experienced cat owner who recognizes - she also has a bipolar personality

"Blackie 1" is a young male neutered cat who is as sweet as can be.  He loves to be petted and will just roll and roll into your hand while you stroke him. He is never aggressive and gets along well with all the other cats in the kitty condo. 
Hopefully "Blackie 1" will find a furever home with a loving , caring family.  He definitely will warm your heart when you get to meet him.

Brooklyn is famous in the kitty cottage because he has only one eye. Some say he lost it in an accident, some say he lost it in a paw-to-paw fight with an intruder. This urban legend shrouds Brooklyn in an aura of mystique to the other cats who not only like to hear about his stories of living in the big city, but like to hear why he has settled down in quiet Dallas, PA on a farm. Brooklyn is cool and independent but playful and very friendly. He likes to play with toys and string, and he enjoys wet food. He would be a good cat for someone who is not the hugging type, who likes to play string, or just someone who needs to build some street cred. (12/8/11)
